Re: Admin actions recently taken
And again on the thread on Pixler's daughter my friend CC1 insults us to high heaven then closes the thread? You guys created the atmosphere then sacked Benicasa for responding? Remember the term equity?

Benincasa told me he meant no insult to any one with the Birkenstocks reference.
He wrote...
Quote:
I didn't attack any minister's family.
The accusal came from JasonB and I clarified my statements.
I don't even know if Brother Pixler even has a pair of Birkenstocks and no one can preach against beards because THERE IS NO BIBLE FOR OR AGAINST IT.

I disagree with you on lots of issues however, you are spot on this time! I believe EB's post was very rude however, the majority of his post sound just as bad. It's obvious to anyone with half a brain cell why he got banned. If he woulda said that about my daughter I guarantee there would be no reaction from Admin. So with pure disregard on my part for the so called forum rules I am callin out any and all members of Admin. to say that yall should take a step back and see the obvious! YALL WERE SCARED OF A SLANDER ACCUSATION!!

What about his reference to Morticia Adams? He never tried to clarify that or any of his comments except saying go back and read his posts all over the forum because he's been saying stuff like that for years (as if that's news to anyone).
I do think he was out of line. I don't think he should have been banned, but considering all the circumstances, I understand why. And 3 days not really a big deal. He'll be back soon enough to blast everyone under the sun. I'm ok with that. I don't know of anyone who read those comments and didn't take them the same way I did. Certainly no one posting in that thread chimed in and said that interpretation was wrong.

This is true.
I agree with Admin's actions.
Just want to make sure everyone is treated the same.

Re: Admin actions recently taken
I think it all boils down to the classic situation "the squeaky wheel got the grease"... because if we're all honest, those of us who have been around this forum for years, this kind of name calling stuff has gone on a lot, and most of the time, no one really gets offended to the point of what has happened in the SP situation.
But it is a reminder to all of us to remember before hitting that "send" button, to reread what we have posted, and ask ourselves if we are loving our neighbor by the words we are saying.
Many times a thought comes to mind, and I start to write it, but then I delete it, because I would rather say nothing at all, then to say something and be offensive to a brother and sister in the Lord.

Same here. One of the reasons I prefer onlinre interaction, is that it gives me time to consider my response. That's not to say I've never made a mistake and posted something I later edited (or wished I could edit), but I still try at least.

You people just ignore me lol.
I've been saying from the beginning the statement wasn't about Pixler or his family or anyone in particular. It didn't come across that way ESPECIALLY if you already knew the Birkenstocks reference was from a prior conversation with CC1 about his pastor.
But it looks like a witch-hunt is on.

Actually I didn't close the thread but it was my recommendation to do so. I had a long travel day so am just now seeing the forum since around the time I made the post you are referring to.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
