When they work on your ticker you can get lightheaded if you get up too quickly after the treatment. Or the medication can make you a bit lightheaded.
So, continue to pray for him.

Back to the your question, no, the Apostle Paul (Saul) was not full of the devil, but even if he was, I believe he was a chosen vessel, but that had to make a choice on what he was going to do when he had the encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus.
His question when challenged by God as to, "why persecutous thou me?"
I believe he was full of fear & was therefore seeking clarification as to what was happening & who he was really dealing with, (test the spirits) & God answered.
What I have not heard spoken on but I believe personally, is that Saul was probably among those "Pharisees" who were in league with Judas & he had been fighting Jesus Ministry all along.
It would just be like God to manifest both his great power, & his great Grace & Mercy to reach into those who persecuted Jesus from the Pharisees & do a great work with them.
Do I have scripture for the above post?
No, so it isn't Gospel, but it would explain why he fought the early Church & why the early Church (at first) were so fearful of him.

Just my 5 cents, last year in Canada, they got rid of the penny!

Evang.EB goes to the hospital quite a bit, for church family, friends of church family, or people from our outdoor Bible study who are in the hospital, or their friends and loved ones who are in the hospital or hospice. praying for the sick, is one of my top priorities, and visiting those in the hospital or hospice.

The above in bold is an interesting perspective. I hadn't thought about it that way. Hmmm.....

Let's take a look at the verse from 1 John 3 in context:

New International Version

Paul, misled and in the flesh, thinking "The Way" of Christ was a heretical sect, was persecuting the Lord Jesus by attacking His people (i.e. making havoc of the Church). He was, as Christ said, kicking against the pricks.

I think we can say that Paul, as Saul, was in sin, in that, he was persecuting his own people, the Jews. And the Torah clearly indicates that Israel was not to begrudge each other; see here:

18 “‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord. (NIV)

The church at the time was completely Jewish, except for some Grecian widows (possibly Hellenized Jews, not actual Greeks).

So, if we read 1 John 3:1-10 in light of these facts, we may say that Saul was "of the devil". He was breaking the law, namely Leviticus 19:18, by persecuting fellow Jews who believed Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah.
I've been thinking about your post and wanted to focus on this particular part you wrote above.

Reading Philippians 3:6 - "Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless."

He is stating that aside from his zeal by persecuting the church, he was deemed righteousness and blameless according to the law. That means that he is testifying, under the law, that he was upright in the moral, civil and ceremonial aspects of the Jewish faith.

You say that he was in sin by violating Lev. 19:18. Apparently, he doesn't believe he was violating the law - correct?
