these always seem to be lacking in context also, imo. Why judge hearts by religion, i wonder; this is also vanity.

I'm trying to start a bible study here zeep. We can't just pick out parts and pieces and leave the good parts to collect dust.

Of course Christ contradicted everything and everyone, he was the only perfect one. Regardless of what all happened up to that point in time, if we really want to know what God is like we need only to look to Christ.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

"Does not change" has to do with lying or changing his promises.
