I tried over the weekend to keep it limited, but still found that I spent about 3 hours saturday night watching Storm Chasers without even thinking about the time.
Growing up, we had a computer monitor that had a/v inputs for a vcr. We had a ton of BOTT videos and that's all that was allowed.
Ironically, we also had a reel to reel projector and screen, and I was allowed to rent films from the library. I never understood why reel to reel films of Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, 3 Stooges and other Hollywood films were acceptable, but when the format changed to vcr suddenly we couldn't watch it.

Ya we watched and rented tons of Three Stooges tapes and 16 mm reels in the day.

My pastor is UPCI licensed. Our church is independent. We don't do a lot with the UPCI anymore. We're a bit more 'conservative' than your typical UPCI church.
I could care less about organizations honestly. A necessary evil i suppose.
We have had fellowship with WPF and Independant brethren mostly. Some AMF, UPCI, and ALJC brethren too.

- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Thank you for explaining. My dad is UPC today, but in my teens he would take us to the a local independent Oneness church in the middle of the Ocala national forest. The church had about 15 people and half of them were Brother Hawkes family.

Hooray for independent churches, I attended one for years.
The big organizations get all spotlight, and we the Independent Apostolic churches are the step-children of the Apostolic movement.
I think it is time the big organizations stop looking their noses down at the independent churches and at least acknowledge our existence.

My dad drug me to every revival that man preached in the late 70's. In Florida in these small churches filled to over flowing with no AC it was nothing but tongues and sweat.
This was Pentecost that I remember. Even the Church of God that I got the Holy Ghost in was a shack.
It was a small Black Church of God and that Jamaican brother told all of us kids on the front row get up where getting the HG. Down the row we all lost our English that night.
This were the simple times in my faith!
