I don't agree with Che Guevarra, but if there is someone that is making the argument that a Christian shouldn't support Guevarra because of his stance on war is wrong.
A Christian shouldn't support Che because of his stance on war because Che was an idiot who got himself killed following his own advice.

And Christians shouldn't walk in the counsel of the ungodly, nor should they follow the leading of fools.

I disagree. 'Bloody' revolutions require motivated people. People motivated to literally lose all at the chance for forcing change.

Not much of that kind of motivation in America anymore.

He wasn't a soldier marching off to war for his country. He was a mercenary that went from one war to another

How about staging a violent uprising against leadership to spread an anti-religion, anti-freedom, anti-intellectualism agenda across Latin America, because THAT'S what we're talking about here not "war" between two legitimate sovereign entities. Geez, I don't know why that's so hard to understand...

No Esaias. Christians can do whatever we want. There's no standards. The word of God means what you want it to mean at any given time. If you say otherwise you're an evil legalist... just saying...

Lincoln did act pretty dictatorial at times.

The "Civil War" and the "preservation of the union" pretty well destroyed the 10th amendment.

Exactly.

Honestly there are crips I know that believe they're in some sort of legitimate struggle for the protection and survival of their neighborhoods and will sit there and quote the "time for war" verse to justify murdering rival gang members if you talk to them long enough.

CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT people...

Line upon line, precept upon precept.

Obviously you disagree. Let me school you some learnin's 'bout ole 'honest Abe'...

"Even Lincoln's idolaters, like historian Clinton Rossiter, author of the book, Constitutional Dictatorship, referred to him as a "great dictator" who had an "amazing disregard for the Constitution . . . that was considered by nobody as legal."

"The Dictator Lincoln invaded the South without the consent of Congress, as called for in the Constitution; declared martial law; blockaded Southern ports without a declaration of war, as required by the Constitution; illegally suspended the writ of habeas corpus; imprisoned without trial thousands of Northern anti-war protesters, including hundreds of newspaper editors and owners; censored all newspaper and telegraph communication; nationalized the railroads; created three new states without the consent of the citizens of those states in order to artificially inflate the Republican Party's electoral vote; ordered Federal troops to interfere with Northern elections to assure Republican Party victories; deported Ohio Congressman Clement L. Vallandigham for opposing his domestic policies (especially protectionist tariffs and income taxation) on the floor of the House of Representatives; confiscated private property, including firearms, in violation of the Second Amendment; and effectively gutted the Tenth and Ninth Amendments as well."

"In his memoirs Sherman wrote that when he met with Lincoln after his March to the Sea was completed, Lincoln was eager to hear the stories of how thousands of Southern civilians, mostly women, children, and old men, were plundered, sometimes murdered, and rendered homeless. Lincoln, according to Sherman, laughed almost uncontrollably at the stories. Even Sherman biographer Lee Kennett, who writes very favorably of the general, concluded that had the Confederates won the war, they would have been "justified in stringing up President Lincoln and the entire Union high command for violation of the laws of war, specifically for waging war against noncombatants."

There's more at the link.

Not everybody has imbibed the Lincoln propaganda, Prax. He was a dictator, pure and simple.

In fact, not much different from the one we have now, who BTW likes to think of himself as the 21st century Lincoln...
