Re: Ex-Apostolic Friends Forum?

I think "ex-Apo" ends up being like
"ex-alcoholic;" after a few years of that,
you just go back to "believer," or "1."

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Re: Ex-Apostolic Friends Forum?

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; (Hebrews 3:1 KJV)

Jesus was the original Apostolic. The word/name Apostolic is precious.

Unfortunately, the so-called 'apostolics' cannot find the visible, vibrant and powerful Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ for several hundred years...until after 1913.

The word "Apostolic" may be precious, but it's not descriptive of any church which can be found by the oneness Pentecostals in the 1800s....or the 1700s, or the 1600s.

that is another broad brush brother. trinitarians practice acts 2:38. that doctine is not just a oneness thing.

I know of some unitarians who do acts 2:38 as well

so acts 2:38 isnt just the modern day apostolic oneness pentacostal

i remember having this discussion with my former pastor about this, and he was sorta shocked, he thought acts 2:38 was a oneness only thing.

To me if you've obeyed Acts 2:38, you are a brother/sister.

Re: Ex-Apostolic Friends Forum?

The largest charismatic church in Columbus Ohio baptizes people in Jesus name. Kenneth Copeland was a guest at that church a couple months ago.
