Dedicated Mind,
I think what I have bolded is a good point you have made-- but flies are more attracted to honey than vinegar. In other words, if you wish engage in dialogue, the "racist" accusation is one sure way to shut it down.
Truth be told, "promoting islamic influence and power" is probably just another talking point that if repeated enough times, most Republicans will believe it.
It's part of the old, "Obama is the boogey-man" affect that we need to help ensure the galvanizing of our party's faithful as we attempt to unseat this popular Democrat in this political season.

Not exactly popular with approval ratings hanging on in the forties...

As the economy improves, his overall popularity will improve. I still think Romney is a long shot, regardless of who he picks for VP-- but a Republican perceived as a moderate is the GOP's only chance to come close to unseating Obama.
This is the fight that the Obama Adminstration didn't want-- regardless of how it may have appeared before.
I want to know how has BHO "promoted islamic influence and power?"

Obama gave KBR, a Halliburton subsidiary, a $568 million no-bid contract back in 2010. He gave them a contract 20,000 times the maximum he said he would allow. Here's what he said in 2007:
“I am in this race to tell the corporate lobbyists that their days of setting the agenda in Washington are over. I have done more than any other candidate in this race to take on lobbyists — and won. They have not funded my campaign, they will not run my White House, and they will not drown out the voices of the American people when I am president.”
Obama’s team promised: “End Abuse of No-Bid Contracts: Barack Obama and Joe Biden will end abuse of no-bid contracts by requiring that nearly all contract orders over $25,000 be competitively awarded.”
In 2008, Obama was the top recipient of campaign donations from KBR employees, receiving more than $20,000 from them.

The economy won't improve fast enough. You can't get a big enough turn around with the time we have left. This election will a referendum on Obama. His approval numbers of independent likely voters is in the 20s. Stick a fork in it.

don't count him out yet.
you don't know what all he, Acorn (whatever it's called now), the DNC, Chicago, etc. have up their sleeves. Votes reported may have nothing to do with actual votes cast. In the capital city of Ohio in 2008 there were more votes reported than there were registered voters.

As far as the promotion of Islamic influence is concerned, I don't get it. There are plenty of things to point to to reasonably reject Obama as president than to use this line of argument. Obama isn't a Muslim. That's pure nonsense.

How do you know?
If we had two candidates: Obama and Goofy, I would vote for Goofy.
