We're having meatloaf for dinner tomorrow night, in fact. Walt requested that for his birthday dinner this year. Along with 3 cheese mac'n cheese and brussel sprouts.
As far as Valentine traditions go, I always get each of my guys a box of chocolates (Walt's is largest, of course) and Walt usually gets me flowers. This year, because money is tight, he got me one single rose. I love it just as much as if he'd bought a dozen. Actually more. Because now I don't have to figure out how to squeeze out money to pay a bill with that he would have spent on flowers
Also, they have a tradition at Walt's work. On your birthday you have to provide treats for everyone who works there (about 60 people). Alot of people just bring donuts. Several years ago, I started dipping big pretzel rods in melted chocolate and putting sprinkles on them. Walt took them to work for his birthday and they have become the expected birthday offering now. So we spend Valentine's evening making about 150 of those pretzels together. That's always fun
