5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again. 8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Jesus didn't have men sign and memorize creeds, confessions. 7 of them.
Christians don't do catechisms according to Jesus to join churches.
Infant baptisms? Not according to Jesus.
The most un christian like stunt is to say non members can't have communion with members. Not that we want to. When churches require membership cards for communion, they create their own fancy religion.
According to the census of 2001, more than 3.2 million people recorded themselves as Reformed. This however is fast decline compared to the 1996 census, when still 3.9 million people were Reformed. Particularly amongst black and coloured people the Reformed churches lost many members, while the number of Reformed whites remained status quo due to mass emigration.
Looks like the church runs like a government.
