Indeed, Prayer changes things. Prayer was made for Esther's niece's family. God
answered. There is power in prayer. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man

There's nothing in the news reports or the statements released by the police that indicates that this was intentional. Eye witnesses said he was swerving all across the highway when he was going in the correct direction.
He may well have been suicidal, but there is no information to that effect. By all accounts it sounds as if he were drunk and lost track of what part of the highway he was on. Look at a map or drive that highway yourself. 287 repeatedly opens up and narrows down from 4 to 2 lanes all the way into Amarillo.
Your apparent lapse in understanding how a facebook page comes into being does indicate to me that you are not looking at this from a reasonable standpoint; and that is understandable given how close you are personally to this.
I just don't think that it is appropriate to conjure up a god who is wrecking automobiles (and human lives!) with the whimsy of a four year old crashing his Hotwheels around the kitchen floor. The church the family of four attended and where the funeral is to be held is not that far from my home. Should I deliver a message on your behalf telling them how ineffective their prayers are compared to ours?

Yes, why don't you do that, Pel. Make sure you tell them about Esther's niece and how Esther had an evil foreboding about this trip her niece was taking and prayed for their safe travel. And how Esther's prayers were answered by God. Obviously the people in that church all need to repent.

Pel this post is way below you normal standard of posting.
No where have I ever said or indicated that God caused this other family to be killed. Nowhere!
What I said was God spared my family. How hard is that to understand?
I do not know if that family was praying for their family or not. Just because someone goes to church doesn't mean they are praying people. I am not here to judge one way or the other.
I can only give you the information from the person that was there, not other opinions of what may have happened. He intentionally tried to hit my family. You don't head head-on into someone and miss and go and try to hit them again. That is not accidental that is intentional.
Good grief, who would have ever thought people could make a mountain out of a mole hill, as the saying goes.
I began with a thanks to God for keeping my family and it goes downhill.

Let me put it simple. If God miraculously spared the first family, then he also miraculously sent a car crashing into and killing the other family. I believe that if God really were to spare a family in a miraculous fashion that no one else would be found dead in their place.

Think of all the other families on the road behind the hummer that was crashed into. Thank God for miraculously sparing them and not letting them be the ones crashed into! That's a rather hollow praise to God though, isn't it?

Re: Thank God for Miracles!
The family that was killed is local to me. It is kind of hard to read about God's miracle when I'm looking at pictures in the newspaper of a family that lived not far from me that are gone. So I thank God that your family was spared, Esther, but I completely see Pel's perspective also.

Re: Thank God for Miracles!
Esther - I will thank God with you that your family was spared !
I am saddened that so many seem to be obtuse as to what your post was all about.
EVERYONE - GET THIS !!!!!!!!! ESTHER (nor anyone else on this forum) ARE REJOICING THAT ANOTHER FAMILY DIED IN SUCH A HORRIFIC MANNER !!!! WE ARE SADDENED BY THE TRAGEDY !!!!!
ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY THE OTHER FAMILY WASN'T SPARED - BUT CAN'T WE THANK GOD WITH ESTHER THAT HER FAMILY WAS SPARED ?
DID NONE OF YOU READ THIS PART OF ESTHER'S POST:
Quote: "Hopefully, this will wake up my niece to go back to serving God." Unquote
ISN'T IT POSSIBLE THAT GOD HEARD THE PRAYERS OF THIS BURDENED AND PRAYING MOTHER AND AUNT ???? ISN'T IT POSSIBLE THAT GOD USED THIS AS A WAKE-UP CALL FOR THIS FAMILY ????
NOW MAYBE INSTEAD OF ARGUING OVER THIS..... MAYBE YOU WILL PRAY WITH ESTHER FOR THE SALVATION OF HER RELATIVES!
AND YES........ I KNOW ALL CAPS AND BOLD MEAN THAT I'M SHOUTING ! I MEANT TO SHOUT! DO YOU GET IT NOW ??????
