Reading the wiki on the NPP, it seems as if it has been given to people that are in the process of making "peace" in the past. I guess this could fall under that guideline.

I was brought up to believe that winning the NPP was a huge honor and very big deal. Boy! That perception was blown straight out of the water with this! Now, it's about the same as winning a free small fries when you play Monopoly at McDonald's.

From an AP article:

"The identity of the person who nominated Obama will not be made public unless that person steps forward. The Nobel committee received a record 205 nominations for this year's prize. "

Obama is NOT the world's messiah. There is only ONE messiah and His name is Jesus Christ, in case you have forgotten. And to call Christians on the forum kooks because we are not deceived in believing the lie of Obama being the messiah, is over the line! IMO

I heard a they gave it to him for thinking happy thoughts...but I had to ask, how would they know what he was thinking.

Apparently Obama does not have to DO anything, he can just think it and it happens. So on the basis that he is thinking peace and happiness these Nobel Peace committee persons (who are all politicians) are giving Obama the price on credit because they are so sure as long as he keeps thinking happy thoughts the world will break out in peace and turn into a Utopian society with Obama as our god.
