I did read where you worked it out and I'm glad. However, I felt I had a right to post how I felt too.

Just as you tire of the ones that run UPC down - - some of us get tired of being lumped in with those.

You are right about having the right to express how you feel - I felt I did also.

You've had your say about the things you don't like about the UPC, so I guess it goes with the territory.

Today, you are upset because I called Sherri on a perceived view - how you felt and responded to that is how we feel when we are criticized. You were quick to jump on that and say that I wasn't fair to her. So, I guess we now know how we all feel in these kinds of circumstances. I think we should remember that from now on.

The difference is you had a perceived view - - I've known Sherri for over 30 years and know her and her heart.

I posted my first post BEFORE I saw that you guys had apologized to each other and was going to delete it, but didn't get it done before you responded to it.

We DO all "listen" with our own prejudices. I've never denied that - - always acknowledged it here. I should have read the whole thread first.

I was just very surprised that you had come at her like that. It was directly to her. What your saying is done toward "we" is general statements.

I already wrote this on the first post when I addressed how I felt:

Quote:
I know that this post is sounding unkind. That is not my intention. I have no negative feelings toward you, personally. I just felt that I wanted to express how I felt.
I wanted to tell her how I felt because I knew enough about her that I could do that.

In my last response to her, I said:

Quote:
So, if you are working on being careful with what you say, I certainly need to do the same and take a chill pill on the, perceived, UPC bashing. I will try to do better as well.
There isn't much else I can say.

The cool thing is that they were not falling out in the Spirit from having seen it and knowing they were "supposed" to. Our kids have their own services at our church on Sundays and Wednesdays, so when people have had these kinds of experiences in the sanctuary, our kids haven't been there to witness it. This was totally a sovereign move of God!!
It was ALL GOD - just incredible - the other two girls from our church were touched as well - never claimed the Holy Ghost but definitely touched by the Lord - Our counselor was overwhelmed as well - we were both slain Friday night service - side by side - SHOUT SHOUT SHOUT!!!!!!!

Re: Our First Kid's Camp

While driving home after camp - the girls' counselor and I started making plans to be approved for ministering to all the L&T Cordova kids - worship service geared just for them is one of the things we really want to do - at least once a month! I'm still full - and want this same experience for all our children!!! God is SOOOOOOOOO GOOOD!!!
