Do you see a distinction between wives and mothers! Both are women!
No offense intended!

Re: Paul And Women Teachers.
The first evangelist after the resurrection was a Woman! Some would not call her an evangelist but she spread the good news...
The first person Jesus spoke to after the resurrection was a Woman!
The first command of Jesus after the resurrection was to a woman!
Jesus trusted a woman with the most glorious and important message that Jesus has risen from the dead and was alive!
Strange he chose women when he could have chosen men...and that does not make women better than men but shows us in a time when women had little value he esteemed them highly...

Re: Paul And Women Teachers.
Yes, while the women witnessed, the men considered their words like 'idle tales' and did not believe. How sad that now even two thousand years later many men still do not want to even consider hearing women speak. These women were right and the men were wrong.

If Paul had issued a blanket edict against all women teaching everywhere Paul would have reprimanded these women instead of praising them!

It stands to reason there were many women that preached according to Acts 8...
I just wish we all had the same burden as those early christians...men and women alike died for preaching the gospel...according to the bible and many early history works...

Nympha was a man- or at least that's what the text says...
Junia is not said to be one of the apostles, and it is probably impossible for a sister to be an apostle, since we don't see sisters being "sent out." Women discussing the Scriptures is great, but when we are in our weekly public gatherings, they are commanded to learn in silence. Not teaching, or asking questions.

Wow. What a wacky, happy, fun time hour THAT must be -for the women in the group. lol
I suppose it goes without saying that women in your church are not allowed to attend school beyond their senior year?

Bro. Alex,
What do they need to learn for if not to be equipped for service! Now we have older ladies(as mothers)
that could teach the younger, Older men (as fathers) who could teach the younger. The church, as I believe
the Word of God teaches, is out of order in some ways. When things are out of order and if ignored long
enough, will be like the plumbing that is out of order. Oh, what a smell if ignored and it starts backing up
on you. It will not get better until the blockage or disorder is taken care of. Perhaps when it gets bad
enough, some of the younger will as HELP from the older experieced ones who have been down the
road before them. We were taught as children to listen and learn. We listened and we learned but today,
it's hard to tell some younger ones much! Those who do not listen to older, wise counsel, especially if it
is godly counsel, are destined to learn the hard way.
Blessings,
Falla39
