My "Infractions thread" where my complaints about the way the Second Commandment is flaunted here were dismissed.
The "disclaimer": **** Disclaimer: Please disregard the Second Commandment but pretend that all 10 are so important that they must be posted in every court house in the land.
I'm sorry that I offended you. My use of hyperbole was intentional and intended to point out the very thing that caught your attention. It was prompted when I posted a silly comic book cover poking fun at the President of the United States. A few people got bent out of shape because there was a blurred image of a line drawing which appeared to depict a scantily clad "babe" clutching at the president for comedic effect.
You don't suppose they've been reading this forum???
On another discussion board, there are several members that post on amazon's discussioon board. I suspect they know what they are doing. They also know we know how they gyp our friends from Canadia.

I go to order it & they say that they can't ship it to Canada!!!
I find the same thing available through Amazon.ca at nearly 8 times the price!!!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
Coadie, do you continue to use the word, gyp, intentionally? What part of the country do you live? It seems to be overpopulated with wandering gypsy caravans.
Pel, whatever you wrote....shame on you!!! Michlow is a female.
Ron, The price of shipping will almost match the price of the book. I purchased a book yesterday from Amazon for 1 penny!
