That's awful. I'm so sorry to hear that, though I'm glad it's in your past.

What sort of coven (or whatever) did you belong to? Were there animal sacrifices as well? "Dancing for the devil" evokes such horrible images in my mind. Like folks wearing horns on their heads and engaging some sort of satanic ritual.

Aren't you concerned about the police finding out about your past? I'm certain that sort of abuse and conduct is illegal. Thankfully you are delivered from that, and for this we all rejoice.

Agreed. The words used in Hebrew for praise and worship are intense and descriptive words. No doubt about it.

I didn't.

I didn't.

I have never mocked worship. Even when I was at my furthest from God, I believed worship is sacred and between the worshiper and God.

My reaction would be very quiet and calm. A very few of my closest friends (and maybe the internet...lol) would find out about it. I would not cry, I would not shout, I would not scream, jump up and down or otherwise make a scene.

Actually, my wedding day was dignified, solemn, polite and quiet. lol We eloped because I couldn't stand the idea of a wedding with people there and a big to do. If I ever marry again, it'll likely be the same way. I do not like having a fuss made over me.

Psalms has a lot of passages about worship, a lot of passages that are worship.

Do you really, even if there were no scriptures, think that God would ever reject a humble, heartfelt worship that isn't demonstrative?

I don't withhold worship. It just doesn't look like yours does. But that's ok because it's mine.

Apostolic Pentecostal churches don't hold a monopoly on the presence of God. Nor do they hold a monopoly on worship.

No arguments.

Ok, so the answer to the question is actually "Pentecostal" right?
This wasnt intended to be a personal attack. I will say Ive been attacked many times over the years by some of you who arent pentecostals. Some of you have labeled us some pretty ugly things. Im not talking without firsthand experience. Ive been in a lot of dead, and unresponsive churches that arent oneness. And Ive been in dead unresponsive oneness churches also. There is a way God had chosen for Him to be worshipped. I didnt choose it, He did.I didnt write the bible; He did. No , I dont think He would ever reject heartfelt, humble worship that isnt demonstrative. I have great respect for a Baptist preacher that is a tv preacher. His name is Ron Phillips. He is in Chattanooga , Tennessee. Ive been in others also, Kenneth Hagin, Billy Joe, Dougherty, Ive watched Kenneth Copeland also. All of these have the majority of their people who worship demonstratively. The point is "the majority", so there must be something to it.

I agree with this lady! I'm happy to say I attend a Pentecostal church if someone asks. But most of all I call myself a Christian.....a follower of my Saviour....trying to live my life as Christlike as I can.

Re: What are you?

I attend a Pentecostal church.

I am Apostolic in doctrine.

I am a follower of Christ and that makes me a Christian.
