Yes, it's like I said earlier - it's really far more complex than that. But tags and handles are convenient for communicating in these little boxes. We all really need a disclaimer- but then they wouldn't be "little boxes" anymore.

My primary concern is the isolation and what I perceive to be an exclusivistic and judgmental spirit that seems to attend many of the "3 Stepper's" way of thinking. But even then, it's more complex than just that. Most "3 steppers" I know (myself included at one time) make all kinds of "exceptions" to the "rule."
