In depth discussion and criticism are not always synonymous.
I could be wrong, but my recollections are that discussions here are usually in defense of those women, and criticism of others for being so critical.
You'll have to check back on the Sarah Palin thing, but I did say - at the outset - that her "socker mom" terminology was going to have to go. Some found it refreshing, but I didn't.
And I have commented on Ann Coulter's potty mouth.
We criticize everyone!! We are equal opportunity!!
Okay, I bet she wore gray because she was in semi-mourning having to give up her big white house to live in - - the ungrateful woman - wasn't eight years enough?
If it 's the picture I saw, I thought it was very pretty. She does wear too dark of lipstick. Why does she do that? Does she have a purpose for it? Are her lips really skinny and she needs the color?

You're the make-up expert. Don't older women think they have to do that for color? Of course, we know that actually makes you look older.

I've forgotten all of the techniques after all this time. I don't know why she wears that burgundy looking lipstick. It just is weird. She is such a lady, you look past it, for the most part.
Lots better than the makeup that Katie Couric wears - so 70's. What is up with that?

Well, tstew, if you look up those threads, you'll find (I think I'm recalling correctly) quite a bit of defense of Michelle Obama's infamous blue dress and bra strap slippage. (From yours truly as well as a few others)
Personally, I think Michelle Obama will develop a great style eventually--most first ladies start off a bit awkward and evolve into a sophisticated style with their own personal twist.
I'd say you need a refresher. The fashion police are not biased--just shallow. And didn't you read all the glowing comments about how sweet President Obama and Michelle look together? (And looked at each other during their dance?)

MissB, I did read most of the posts on the MO threads. I do know that there were some who were not so critical (you included). I just recognize that overall, this is a Republican forum and that many of the opinions will reflect that. Most of the threads about the Republican women would have a few detractors and more defenders, and that is reversed when dealing with MO...it's just how things are.

I agree - it's just what it is.
I would say the majority of Apostolics are Republican - might be wrong, but I doubt I would be off by too much.

So you admit to being biased????? I REFUSE to admit it!
