I'm not a hard-noser but I teach my girls modesty of dress,I tell them they can look nice without looking cheap.
My wife has certain convicts about dress and such but she is not holier than thou, nor does look she down on people that don't have her look.

No...I meant, I feel jean skirts should outlawed. I like them about as well you like baggy low rider hip hop jeans on men.
and No I don't wear them. I am soon approaching my 58th year and i don't think the look would become me.
I rarely wear shorts , dress modestly at all times, my wife almost always wears dress's and owns a couple jeans skirts which she wears to work on casual fridays.
i really am not the flameing liberal you may think me to be.
I am just amazed that they offered a class on making BDS out mens blue jeans at a UPC seminar.

I'd recommend that you just keep your blue jeans as they are. You're fine.

Denim skirts are actually a big fashion item now. I have several of them, and not because I have to wear them, because I have lots of jeans too. But I love them and they're cute with the right shoes, etc. I also have one like you're talking about - made from jeans - but I bought it from a boutique and it's fringy around the bottom. Very cute with heels! (No tennis shoes for me, thank you).
I think when you're in UPC, it's kind of a stigma, but after being gone for 17+ years, denim skirts are just cute!
