People baptized using the name of Jesus and people baptized using the FS&HG words both have come out of the water rejoicing and speaking with tongues.
Don't you think that if a person says "in the name of the Lord," or "in Jesus Name" or "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost" that God knows what that name is?
Well, that 's all nice and dandy but in the end you really don't know do you Sam?!?!?! Would you not agree to stick to scripture as close as possible and point out error? Many people do many things in the name of the god they serve and it happens. Does it mean God approves of witchcraft or whatever? Speaking in tongues is not just a christian teaching. So your point? You might say well, the devil likes to counterfeit etc... Well and that could not apply to F,S,HG baptism? So in reality do we know? No! I brought this up and once and the person said "well they will have the fruit of the Spirit" My response! So do many in these other religions have very similar takes on life as well and live better than many so called Christians. At that, I know people who are not Christian and have better morals and values in there life than many Apostolics. In the end stick to truth cast off error and QUIT HARBORING IT!
I think it is important what INTENTION we have when we baptize. Although we know God knows the NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, what intention does the one officiating have in mind when he baptizes in the NAME of the Father, etc? In many cases his intention IS NOT Jesus' name, despite the fact that in reality it is.

Show me one place in the Scriptures, Old or New Testament (including the Apocrypha) where a baptism is described with anyone saying "I baptize you in the name of--------------"
Acts 8:16 16 For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
My dear friend this is describing how they were baptized.

Acts 22:16 KJV And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
They may not have said "I baptize you..." but we do know they spoke and invoked the name of Jesus Christ because "CALLING ON" in the Greek in the verse above means to invoke. And invoking a name is speaking it aloud.
I believe that if someone simply said, "In the name of Jesus Christ," and baptized a person in water, that it is acceptable. The name of Jesus is to be invoked.

Good point. Acts 10:48 is very much like Matt 28:19. Lord is a title, and we are meant to understand JESUS was the name.

I was showing that Jesus is Lord. So in Acts 10:48 "he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord" is just like Matthew 28:19. What is the name.
The Bible states that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
If the Word of God is true then at that time everyone will know.
His name is Jesus.
