Re: My Dinner Failed!!!

I followed a lady at works recipe for chicken in dumplings that was a flop. The only dish I think I have ever cooked and tossed.

I knew how to make dumplings, but I wanted to know how they made the dumplings flat as mine are puffy. So she said I can tell you how to do that my father is a baker.

Ok, she said you will need x amount of flour, milk, and an egg. Be sure and flour your noodles. I said noodles? Yes, noodles. What size noodles? Any size you want. Why do you four them? So they won't stick. Ok, so I go to store and buy the largest noodles they have.

I cook by chicken and add the ingredients and flour the noodles. Goop that is what I had.

My husband came in and said what it that? I said chicken in dumplings. Since we were newly married we tried it and tosse it.

I told her the next day at work that her dumplings were awful. After much discussion we determined her "noodles" were not really noodles but the dumplings.

I am sitting at my desk crying from laughing and trying my best to be quiet...

I've coughed, blown my nose and now have resorted to holding my phone to my ear so someone thinking I'm talking to someone on the phone and not laughing at nothing in particular.

I'm in literal tears here....

One time I made a sandwich with potted meat.

It didn't taste good.

I must've done something wrong.

Haven't read the whole thread but Marsala...and butter...will make a good sauce....

also Jeanie here is a easy chili recipe...

Hamburger...Seasoned while cooking with some Garlic Powder, Chili Powder, Cumin, Salt and Pepper... when cooked drain...

add some Kidney Beans from two or three cans..

and here' s the secret ingrediant.... one large bottle of v-8 Juice...

put all together... let cook for awhile together... add some more chili powder and cumin...might need some salt to taste...try it out and let me know...
