Yes! I can smell it just thinking about it. There are a few things that trigger childhood memories, but heat turning on for the first time and the school supplies are two of them!
Also, the smell of the paper in school - it was memographed - not copied. Of course, you young thangs won't have a clue. I remember doing the church bulletin on one of those things!

I'm trying to hold out - - it's 68 in here right now.
I love to sleep when it's cold, but just sitting around it's a bit nippy on my nose.
It was in the 20's here overnight and is only around 33 right now. 'nough said.

When I'm wearing two layers and I'm still cold it's time to turn on the heat. When I have five blankets and the heated blanket doesn't keep me warm it's time to turn the heat on. When I get my electric bill it's time to turn the heat OFF.

It can happen nahkoe. We even get snow and ice storms here.
We had 8 inches of snow last year, 3 days in one week (absolutely NEVER HEARD OF where I was...lol) and it didn't get that cold inside my apartment. lol It was also staying below freezing that entire week (again, never happens there). I really, really doubt it's going to be that cool in my apartment here.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message
