Re: CNN says More Bank Failures Coming

the strange thing for me is that if this treasury secretary hadn't run around saying the end is here...this all would have been a much slower decline.

but since our phoney industrial average (exchange) DJIA ballooned mostly on speculation rather then industrial production....fear comes along as a knife to the bubble (what REAL thing happened in our industrial equity that would raise an average from 7000 to 14000 in the last 10 years or so?).

So why did the Bush administration's treasury secretary jump on this issue as the exit song for the last 120 days of a Bush presidency?

Why was this laser-like attention given to this issue with such a short time horizon?

I don't know, why?

If we were to suffer a major collapse with chaos ensuing which calls for martial law and the suspension of the Constitution which, in turn, circumvents the 2008 election and leaves the current administration in office because, pardon the deja vu, the circumstances require such actions to be undertaken, then we might know a little more about why.

That's just CRAZY!!!

When did that ever happen in the USA to cause you to have deja vu?

Wow....

As much as I "know" you and admire your thoughts, opinions & musings that you share with us and also knowing that, elsewhere, I have typed all of the facts that you recall about me...

I must admit I found it a little disconcerting to see those things rattled off as if you lived right down the road from me.

LOL... Well such is cyber life...

If any of this happens to actually take place should I look less towards a Tom Clancy roll and more to one more akin to Tom Brokaw?

Ahhh... my apologies for the lack of clarity...

The "deja vu" comment was because, all too often, the better portion of the last decade has been filled with the alienation of certain inalienable rights because it was "necessary" because of the circumstances of the times.

An inalienable right does not have a circumstance for which it is "necessary" that I be alienated from it. It is, after all, inalienable, and by edict of the document that gave birth to said government cannot be removed from me.

The scenario itself wasn't meant to be a deja vu moment... Just the basic repetitive "necessary evil" scenario which keeps passing in front of us time and time again.

It is weird, this virtual reality stuff leaves me to think I really know you but in actuality we do not REALLY know each other....but in some ways we might know each other better than folks who SEE each other because:
1. Man looks on the outward
2. From the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks (the fingers type)

so maybe we are, in some ways, better served by learning about each other's spirit through the words expressed in a virtual reality without being distracted by the smell of some great chicken being grilled while enjoying a cool glass of iced tea ---and the capacity for being distracted from the blatant character flaws of the host griller!

but hey....grilled chicken is pretty nice too!
