That is chef Andrew Zimmerman who is known for eating things (and liking them!) that only die-hard survivalist types would eat when nothing else is available.

What is funny is that of all the incredibly weird and unappetizing stuff he has eaten all around the world (usually in Asian countries), the worst food he has eaten was in Alaska served by Eskimos. He always finds things to appreciate in ANY dish, but personally could not get over all the whale and seal blubber in everything.

OK, we were on our way to the Great Wall at Mutianyu and stopped at this restauraunt......we had dumplings ( a staple) and Duck neck!!! Not much meat! Talk about nasty.....look at this pot cooking outside where we ate!

We are! I think I mentioned that the last night of the "school" worship broke out and it got rather loud. It just kind of built up slowly and then sort of burned very brightly! One of the leaders went around and made sure the doors and windows were secured so that the sound would not get out. We were laying hands on folks and some were prophesying, I think. I really couldn't tell because it was in Chinese!
