20. How can you KNOW the voice of God? Compare what is said to the word of God. God will never say anything extrascriptural. If it’s not written, then it’s not God. Ignore it.
Why would God do nothing but quote the Bible to people? Can't He do whatever He wants? Couldn't He tell me "Brother Larry is da man!" if He wanted to?

Not that I recall her mentioning. I know she said it took much praying and rebuking to get free from them. And she prayed and fasted much. I know she is a licensed minister, but I can't say if she was heavily involved in "deliverance" ministry, because I really don't know.
I have a great friend, whom I consider to be the person, most powerful in the Spirit, that I know. He had many people coming to him for deliverence. He found himself constantly confronting devils. Then one night alone at church, he felt that something was attacking him physically. It scared him so bad that he ran out of the church, jumped in his car to get out of there. He suffered no real physical harm from the attack, it was just a deception.

No Timmy, God could not tell you that because He cannot tell a lie.
Timmy, I know you sometimes try to patronize me, but I don't care. I don't care if some pastor doesn't want me to preach for him. I'm so "out there", few even understand what I'm saying. I think you are taking my words a little too literally, when you said, "...quote the Bible". I mean't that what God says in spiritual voice, will always agree with scripture.

I would say not...I would say that the Bible demonstrates when Jesus cast the demons out of legion they went into a herd of swine not a rock or a tree.
Although you used a good example, how about the example of Paul's apron and hankerchiefs being sent and the people were healed?
Knowing that satan copies everything that God does, do you not think objects can carry spirits as well?
Iconic figurines have long been known to attract spirits. I know a woman north of Dallas, who had a collection of Budda's. I told her they would attract evil spirits to her house. Three weeks later she ran screaming out of her house, because she saw, in a mirror, a man with a knife in his hand, hiding in her closet. The police found that he had been hiding and living in her back yard for several days. She got rid of her Buddahs.
Years later, I was a member of the UPC church in Mineola, IAM's dad was pastor. (that's also Cindy's church) A woman came to the chuch out of her mind with fear. She said demons were touching her at night. I told IAM'S mother, "that woman has a Buddah in her house". She denied it, but when pastor, me, and two other brothers went to her house. Sure 'nuff, we found a Buddah.

We had to get rid of a very expensive Oriental screen in our house because my 18 month old son kept having night terrors and screaming at night, with his eyes wide open and you couldn't wake him up. When we finally asked him one morning what was scaring him, he went and pointed to these little creatures on the bottom of the screen that we had never noticed. Very evil little things with their tongues hanging out. We immediately threw that$1,000 screen in the garbage, and that was when we had very little money! Zac never had trouble sleeping after that night.
We had to do the same thing with an object that someone had brought him from Mexico when he was five, and again with something someone brought him from Guatemala when he was 10. I firmly believe that spirits attach themselves to objects!!!

Yes, actually I figured that's what you meant to say. Didn't mean to patronize, sorry.
Even so, I don't think what you said goes far enough. It may be a valid way of disposing of some false messages, the ones that don't agree with scripture, but what if a message does agree? It still didn't necessarily come from God, in the sense that God, right then, spoke something to you. Or does it even matter?

Hebrews 13:23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty
Any body who has the Holy Ghost, can be used to operate in one or all of the gifts of the Spirit, if he has the faith; but, it is the Holy Ghost who is really operating them. (I Cor 12:3-11) No one can operate them at their own will. We are instructed in (Rom 12:6) to exercise the gifts according to the proportion of faith. For example: It doesn't take a lot of faith for most of us to speak with tongues, but it takes a bit more faith to interpret that tongue.
What about the scripture that says the gifts are without repentance, or another way of saying it is the gifts are not taken away from you? That would mean the person is in ownership of that gift, would it not?
And yes I agree it is the Holy Ghost that gives you the wisdom and power to operate in that gift, BUT I have heard backsliders that are still able to operate in their gift. For example, a person operating in the gift of knowledge, often still operates with that gift, now whether it is the human spirit, demonic spirit or whatever, I can't say, but only know they claim and have shown they operate in those gifts.
Now take for example Timlan. I never knew him when he was in the church, but I suspect he was used in the gift of prophecy. I saw him prophesy, if you will, about a situation that would happen with some posters here, that came about just like he said it would.
Now he could have just used human reasoning to come up with his acturate outcome???
The other consideration is if a person has operated in the gift for years, does it become a learned behavior, and less relying on the Holy Ghost?

Timmy if you have the Holy Ghost your spirit will recognize the "spirit" of the prophecy to be true or not. What we can a "witness" of the spirit.
Hope that helps.
