Re: Should standards be an issue when witnessing?

Some people like to condemn and put up down others,to make themselves feel holy.
But it is never Godly to mistreat people.
The Lord has been merciful to me and I know what pit I was dug from,I have learned that it pays to be merciful to others.
We can accept people without accepting sin.

Trust me this person is a thorn in his pastor's side.

Re: Should standards be an issue when witnessing?

Its our job to bring them to God first, so God can save them.

Let the standards thing work itself out afterward.

Re: Should standards be an issue when witnessing?

I'm sure your friend can feel the eyes burning in her back when she goes. It doesn't even matter if people say anything to her, just the spirit attached is wicked enough and causes people to feel uncomfortable in God's house. Do her a favor and find a great Spirit filled church for her that doesn't impose unnecessary burdens on God's flock.

Re: Should standards be an issue when witnessing?

Anyone who brings up "standards" as a witnessing tool is dumb, stupid, ignorant. south bound end of a mule and an idiot. Witnessing is telling people about the love of Jesus and how their lives can be changed.

I don't volunteer Acts 2:38 when I witness. From my observations of scripture, there are two to three general situations when Acts 2:38 should be mentioned. One is when asked (Acts 2:37). The second is when a person a person has been filled with the Holy Ghost (Cornelius)... The third I discovered is when someone as already repented and they are open to a more perfect way such as Paul's discussion with John the Baptist's disciples.

Why not quit "beatin' 'round the bush" and tell us how you really feel! LOL
