Most people would rather continue in ignorance than face the truth or be challenged. Most really don't care if they're wrong on a particular issue, it's to painful to face the facts.

By finding others who agree with them, it quites the internal nagging voices questioning their beliefs. I have found many do not care what God's word says, they just want to keep living life as usual. By silencing the influence of truth, they quitely slip back into the cocoon of ignorance.
