I've pondered this question myself and listened to an in-depth podcast devoted to it (from a Christian perspective).
It's not just baldness though. There was a YouTube video called "Why doesn't God heal the amputee?". It was produced by an atheist and was just one of twenty questions, but I think it is a valid one.

You need to ask yourself.... Why do all healing's seem to be of the hidden or invisible kind? People stop feeling pain in their joints or stop having stomach problems all the time but when was the last time you saw someone with no legs (or hair) sprout new legs (or hair) while being slain in the spirit at an alter by someone who claims "the gifts"?

Now I have personally seen people WITH CANCER go to an alter and find on their very next doctor visit that it has completely vanished. I have even heard of people going to an alter to pray for tooth problems and find the offending teeth either gone or straightened soon after. These are all dramatic but none nearly as much as the site of someone growing new legs and walking away! Why doesn't THIS happen?

THIS JUST IN:

A minister that had great results in praying for people over in Mississippi, that had many cavities in their teeth.

Their teeth were mysteriously filled with gold fillings.

The same preacher begin praying for men with bald heads and instantly their heads were covered with thick locks of hair.

It was only later that they discovered it was the removable type of hair.

PP to answer your question I have seen someone healed from baldness. He prayed and God allowed him to grow hair, but that was after he has a hair transplant....does that fall in line with the plastic surgery thread?

My husband has a pile of hair but I've seen quite a few white boys who looked good bald.. most of the ones I know who've gone bald on top by 30-35 have shaved the rest off and it looks nice.
