I was anxious to see if there were any that would try to find someone to lead to repentance in that five minutes. Seems to me that would really be the perfect answer.

Does anyone find it strange that we think we might be a more convincing witness if we knew He WAS coming in 5 minutes or 5 days than we are knowing he COULD come in 5 minutes or 5 days?

I really think the church will go through perscution but if the rapture takes place I feel I am ready. Being ready for whatever is the most important thing,

It is still alive and well now… it hasn’t been that long ago since I heard a message at our Holiday Youth Convention that was trying to shake the kids up… get them in the altar to repent.… well, we are all in need of repentance daily… doesn’t mean we are lost.

My oldest was troubled after the HYC service and asked me why they try to scare people to serve God. I understood her concern… I’ve seen it far too many times. I don’t like those that try to hang people over hell…. I think much more is accomplished by showing the love of God to people. We love and serve him because he loved and died for us.

2 Cor 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

I comforted her with the words that we will rejoice at his coming… we are so looking forward to it… her salvation is secure as long as she loves the Lord and strives to keep walking in faith and the joy of the Holy Ghost.

It should be “look up… your redemption draweth nigh” as it was posted earlier.

But, Forever, how is the preacher supposed to validate his ministry if he can't testify of the numbers who were in the altar repenting? After all, don't preachers preach for the response?

I don't feel particularly convincing no matter how much time might be left.

I am sure we would all look over our lives and do an indepth look at ourselves. We'd go tell it on the mountains, and shout is from the hill tops. Yes, I think we would make a more effective witness ... jmo
