I agree but do you think that singing songs that express love for God is preversion?

I am against homos in any function in the church but just because a man sings a song that expresses his love to God don't make him a perv or homo.

Ever heard the song, "OH, How I love Jesus"?

A more modern one that I like is by Michael Gungor, "children and kings"

That is exactly what part of the problem is.

Some of this stuff is basically just a modern version of some of the old spirits that drove idol worship in Bible days, mixing sensuality with spirituality.

It's Ashtaroth repackaged.
Well, then why blame it on "some ministers of music" and Jesus boyfriend music?

Blame it on men not knowing how to deal with all the forms of love.

I am utterly, profoundly, violently against that stupid statement.

I had a song leader who heard that somewhere, and came home and tried it in our church.

I had a meeting with him after church, and after he reattached his rear end, he never said that again.

Cons have often been obsessed w/ sexual perversion in the Church... ranging from the color of the shirt a male is wearing ... to the slit on the sister's skirt.

Out of the abundance of the mouth ....
Please...

Sexual perversion knows no ideological bounds.

There is a world of difference between "O, How I Love Jesus," which I love to sing, and these songs with all the overtly sensual imagery.

I blame it on lack of discernment on the part of these ministers of music, and the pastors who let them do their thing.

Who can disagree??? ... but their seems to be an unnatural focus on sexuality when "holiness" is preached by some of these men ...

One reason mom left the Apostolic Assembly because her pastor was OBSESSED w/ women's legs in his holiness diatribes.

Dan, I am not going along with your petty attempt to turn yet another thread into a con vs. lib nitpickfest.

This is an issue that really is bigger than your own little hobby horse.

The same could be said for a lot of the "I don't preach a clothesline message" crowd. Maybe they don't preach modest dress cause they like to look at women dressed like two-dollar-Saturday-night-@#$%^.
