True.
There are and estimated 30-40 thousand polygamists in the US, they are not being arrested or stopped in any way.
The only time the government steps in is when the girls are too young.
Follow the news.

Or when TLC embarrasses them by making a *normal* polygamist family a little too public.

In utah, there are several poly clans, right in the middle of SLC.
They have an underground economy, very controlling, but legal.
Very interesting.
But I digress, we have probably hijacked the thread.

TLC embarrasses them? Were they forced to have a program?
It would be interesting to learn if TLC looked for them, or if this guy looked for TLC. It can't be cheap having to support 19 people.

Ah....
You don't understand the Poly lifestyle.
When you have 10 wives, you have one or two watch the kids and the others are out working.
Great idea when you think of it!

Not because of the polygamy, just because it became public again.
Many mainstream mormons still believe that polygamy is okay. And would practice it when it becomes more accepted again.
Uncle Joe Smith taught that the only way to make it into the third heaven was to practice polygamy.
