Re: Forum is Ex-Pentecostal??

Every time I see this thread, I have been reminded that I voted yes when I meant to vote no. You see, when I had voted, it was late and I was tired and ready to go to bed.

I thought the question for the poll was do you feel AFF is a Pentecostal forum. It wasn't until the next day when I read someone's post on the thread that I realized that I goofed up.

So, please keep in mind to subtract one yes and place it in the no column.

Thanks,

CB!

You've been around Pentecost long enough to know that the give and take here is nothing compared to the things that are said among the ministers and even across pulpits.

When the "leaders" of the movement publically compare one another to excrement, I'd say that the tone has become offensive. FWIW - AFF is far more civil than the Apostolic movement in general; and I'm just talking about the way the movement speaks of and to itself.

Not so much Pel. The Pastor I had until I was 15 yrs. old was a very kind and loving person. I never heard him say anything remotely rude or disrespectful about anyone. I have no idea what is said among ministers either. I have been away from the UPC churches for over 35 years. I live in a small town and can honestly say I have no idea what you are talking about. My present pastor I have only known for a short time. He is very kind and loving. I was very shocked when I first came to AFF to see a lot of people's disdain for other apostolics. And they have a lot of excuses for it. But it comes down to personal accountability, just because someone is rude doesn't mean I have to respond in kind. There are ways to get your point across without being offensive.

Thank you.

Also, the problem is admin is admin and posters aren't, so not saying anything more than until they are admin they really don't have an idea of what all we do have to deal with.

We do not, however, give place for the tearing down, the disputing of, or destruction of, Apostolic doctrine, the Apostolic ministry, or the Christian faith in any form. The propagation of any doctrine that is contrary to the Apostolic doctrine is not welcome here.

We do not allow any rebuking, hatefulness, name calling, or verbal attacks by any person or group of people, toward any person or group of people. Content that is unseemly, using bad language, or any form of insinuating bad language (i.e. one letter and ****), or offensive slang, is not permitted.

This administration knows that God's Word allows for rebuking and correction under certain conditions, but because of the lack of understanding by some, as well as the differing views by a multitude of readers here, and for the sake of peace, we will not permit it under any circumstances.

Attitudes
Given this is an active forum, and we many times have heated discussions on various subjects, Admin will continually moderate the attitudes of the posts that are presented on AFF. As a rule of thumb...

* Organizations can be discussed but not assaulted.
* Posters can have disagreements but not bloodbaths.
* Apostolic truth can be questioned but not be mocked.
* Doctrinal absolutes can be queried but not criticized.
* Admin can be contacted privately but not called out openly.
* Standards can be debated but not minimized and disrespected.
* Posts can be diametrically opposed but not diabolically attacking.
* Concerns can be expressed freely but not just hurled and unrestricted.

Because our goal is for AFF to be a place where Liberal, Moderate, and Conservatives can peacefully co-exist, Admin reserves the right to ban any member at any time should they agree that any member's posting style, general attitude, or overall presence is causing a disruption on the forum as a whole.

Furthermore, as the ultimate success of this forum depends on the ability of posters to respect others, each individual poster must conduct themselves within the boundaries of decency and tolerance towards the doctrinal convictions, religious standards, and/or particular fellowship of their fellow posters. Persons blatantly violating these boundaries of decency and respect will be subject to being banned.

Now I ask you politely Bro. has Dan A broke these rules--even today?

Yes!
And to show we are fair, so has PP. Are we doing good?

If PP has done anything worthy of rebuke-for sure.
However, I am not sure PP was a little frustrated that perhaps people let it get out of hand in the first place.

Now back to the question at hand, has Dan broke the rules today?

Yes, and we are all adults, even though sometimes we act like spoiled brats we are the majority of the Forum, not the admins.

Really? Where?
