I believe that "they that which hunger and thirst for righteous shall be filled". I grew up a Catholic and am very happy God led me out of the superstition.

Now I know to go to Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins and not behind a little door with a light above it to speak to a Priest. They pattern their faith not much far removed from the pattern of the OT Tabernacle.

I also recognize that many people, especially America, think that because they believe there is a God they are somehow now a Christian. I see that, for example, in someone like Brittany Spears, who thanks God when she wins an award for her degenerate actions on stage. I pray she actually does have an encounter and really becomes a Christian.
James 2:19 "Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."

If you notice she says she thanks God. Most celebrities never refer to Christ or Jesus, they simply thank "god." What was it the bible calls Satan, the one whom took Jesus Christ himself to the top of the mountain and tempted him? If you note Jesus didn't say it's not yours to give, rather he said for satan to get away from him. Jesus didn't deny that satan was able to bestow those gifts, rather he rejected them.

If Satan is referred to as the "God of this Age" "Lord of this World" and "Prince of the powers of the air" and he can bestow fame and possessions to us in exchange for our allegiance, why would he not make those same offers to men and women of prominent stature? People whom have influence and power in the eyes of men?

If satan had his hand in world politics in biblical times, influencing kings and destroying nations... what makes today different?

She most likely has made her choice and that's how she got to where she is, fame-wise. She does thank god, but I sometimes wonder if it's the God I serve :P. I'm not going to make a definate judgement on Brittney Spears because I haven't heard her or listened to her talking or anything like that so I'm making assumptions here based on the trend I see in celebrity news :P.

Too many people claiming they've sold their with their own mouths for it to be false.

one of many many many examples below.

or look up the lyrics to Snoop Doggs Murder was the Case. (excuse the language in it but read it to know what these celebrities are going through.)

There is tons of that stuff going around. Kanye said it, Katy Perry said it, Lady Gaga said it... way too many people flat out saying it straightforward in plain english, they don't hide it or anything. Sad stuff.

And to not completely derail this whole thread with my subject switching and what not, Islam has its issues, as does every other religion I have researched and studied before settling on christianity.

But to hold such animosity towards its practitioners as if they are beneath us or something along those lines is probably one of the farthest from christian things we can do when it comes to that. We may dislike their actions and beliefs but at one point and time we all blasphemed God and shamed him in our own ways. Hurt/lied to those around us. Spread false doctrines and so on and so forth. Only one sin is unforgivable, and you have to understand and know it before you can be held accountable for it. Trying to grow compassion, love, and wisdom by throwing hate at hate will only create a larger pile of hate. Yes there are sects with radical views, but no more radical than the view that we need to put on armor and kill each other over hunks of dirt that are going to crumble away. Or no more radical than arming and training a group of people, blowing up their homeland, then expecting them to remain docile. Just because there is less blood the way we kill someone than the way they do doesn't make it any more justified.

"...to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call..."

"even as many as" - whoever listens and wants to hear.

Are you supposing that I wasn't sincere when I said that I have prayed for Brittany Spears? I have prayed for her and others, including Miley Cyrus. I pray for our country, our soldiers, our men and women who hold public office.

Just because we get very pointed here, doesn't mean we don't have compassion. I do not believe there is anyone posting here who does not pray for others and who do not have compassion for the world we live in.

OK, so we just pray for Jews and Arabs to be converted?

Sounds great, now you all can move on to another topic because this one is solved.

Re: Islam: A Religion of Lies...

What would Islam do?

Joh 8:2 And early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him. And He sat down and taught them.
Joh 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman taken in adultery. And standing her in the midst,
Joh 8:4 they said to Him, Teacher, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
Joh 8:5 Now Moses in the Law commanded us that such should be stoned. You, then, what do you say?
Joh 8:6 They said this, tempting Him so that they might have reason to accuse Him. But bending down, Jesus wrote on the ground with His finger, not appearing to hear.
Joh 8:7 But as they continued to ask Him, He lifted Himself up and said to them, He who is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.
Joh 8:8 And again bending down, He wrote on the ground.
Joh 8:9 And hearing, and being convicted by conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at the oldest, until the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
Joh 8:10 And bending back up, and seeing no one but the woman, Jesus said to her, Woman, where are the ones who accused you? Did not one give judgment against you?
Joh 8:11 And she said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I give judgment. Go, and sin no more.
