This is a good move on Cruz’s part:
Cruz’s planned challenge, confirmed to The Hill by a source familiar, is expected to be backed by several of the 10 GOP senators who signed on to a plan vowing to support objections to the election results.
Because Congress votes on Electoral College results alphabetically by state, Cruz’s objection is expected to be one of the first and, according to the source, will focus on his request for a commission to review the presidential election rather than arguing for setting aside the state’s election results.

So Cruz concedes that there's no chance to flip the result of the election to Trump and now just wants to create a commission to review the results of the election.
I'm starting to see a pattern with Cruz.

Someone who has taken a page from Trump is Ron DeSantis. I don't know much about him but I'm going to be paying a little more attention because I like how he fights back, too. There was some CNN reporter trying to give a speech during a presser yesterday (IIRC) and DeSantis just demolished her. She was not prepared at all. It was glorious.

It is a better plan for Cruz to sign an objection to tainted electoral college vote submissions than to try to get the electoral votes set aside. He needed to sign on to a state. Mo Brooks signed on to 6 states.

I still say this is a bluff. Cruz knows the Dems will never agree. But depending on what sort of evidence is presented, even a few wobbly Republicans might endorse the idea of setting aside electors. Trump is acting like he really has something up his sleeve. We shall see.

Ted Cruz was ready to argue the Texas case before the Supreme Court, so it is highly unlikely a bluff.

Re: Voter Fraud?
UPDATE: just confirmed. Chatham County is done counting votes for the night.
The board of elections annex building is empty. Workers say they’ll be back at 8 a.m.
Still thousands of votes to be counted here.

GEORGIA.🚨🚨
Gabriel Sterling, who is an independent contractor and *NOT* employed by the Georgia Secretary of State told CNN the following:
THE GEORGIA ELECTION WILL ALLOW AN EXTRA THREE HOURS TO PROCESS ABSENTEE & MAIL-IN BALLOTS, UNTIL 3 A.M.!

Re: Voter Fraud?
With the races as tight as they are, I have little confidence or faith that Perdue or Loeffler will win. Dems will always “find” enough votes to win these close races.
It’s over. We will have Biden in the WH with a Democrat Congress.
God help us.

Exactly. The Dem wins in Georgia were a given. And the GOP leadership in that State did nothing to stop the steal last night. They are happy participants. Stacey Abrams is the defacto dictator of Georgia and the GOP just lays down because it might be viewed as "racist" to stand up to her.
