This hearing is a joke.

The Pros is desperate. Most of their witnesses have been more favorable to GZ than to the state's case. Pros has been unable to prove that GZ acted in malice or with intent to murder TM, so now they want to use GZ's college course records to try and argue that somehow GZ PLANNED this whole thing.

Their argument is GZ took these criminal justice courses and thereby somehow learned PD evidence and interrogation procedures and used that after murdering TM.

This Judge is back to being completely pro-Pros. If she allows this to happen, she should be removed from the bench.

Nice. With this one line of questioning, West addresses two different issues. The college transcript shows GZ was denied financial aid due to bad credit. It was debated whether or not it would be stricken from the record. IIRC the Def didn't want to do that because it would look even more suspicious to the Jury.

So West used the bad credit as a line of questioning as to a possible reason why GZ was not hired as a police officer.

Two birds, one stone...nice job West.

JAG (Judge Advocate General) on stand now, testifying about a course he gave at GZ's college.

Today the Pros is beginning their fishing expedition to try and argue that GZ used his criminal justice classes to help him prepare for murdering TM.

Should the police start investigating anyone who takes Criminal Justice classes? I mean, per the Pros argument, there are likely a LOT of murderers -- maybe even serial killers -- in those classes.

Think of all the potential murderers currently taking forensic science classes, chemistry and biology, etc.

Per the Pros, anyone merely taking these classes is likely doing so as preparation to murder someone.
