Interesting how many folks let fly with opinions and have no basis in knowledge. The DS being present is not out of the ordinary. And in some cases it is not uncommon for a HQ rep to be there depending upon the circumstances.

If I know DR at all he was a perfect gentleman and did not try to co-erce anyone in there. He was just doing his job as DS.

What I do find to be a little inonsiderate is for the church to schedule the vote duruing campmeeting knowing full well all District officials normally attend.

Personally, a church this size should have no need of affiliation and probably did the right thing governmentally.

Daniel. more than likely DR knew this was a done deal before he ever left Lufkin this afternoon.
