No. It's a long story. To make a long story short, it was dropped after a grueling, horrible time.
I received a nasty email from someone I know personally that I think got my email through AFF. I left to protect myself.

I'm thinking that sometimes a post can be read in a way that seems the poster is not letting go of past issues. Sometimes we don't understand the intent. I've posted a few things from my past and someone said that I am not happy where I am or I wouldn't do that. LOL! So, you never know how people will perceive what you are saying.
Anyway, that's where I think a lot of misunderstanding comes in.
I think one thing that we may have misunderstood is the feelings of some are not the same for others. Your experiences in church were like some of mine, but I have a different view than you do. Actually, your post a long time ago, and I don't remember which thread it was, made me realize that I need to be more careful in evaluating what you are saying. Just because we have both been hurt and took different paths, it doesn't make either one of us wrong in our choices.
Or I think we could say, "She should have done this or done that in the situation", but I'm not you and you aren't me, so we won't handle it the same.
Does that make sense? lol

Yes, definately. Whenever I write out here, I brace myself, knowing that judgment is coming. Not judgment from God, who knows me and has been with me through everything, but judgment from people who think they know what is good for me and what I need. But, after listening to others and trying to live others advice for many years, I realized that others are not me and I am not them. I don't write out here for advice. It is somewhat cathartic for me to write if people listen and respond on a positive note. However, writing out here is usually more painful than cathartic. I have to be prepared to write more for bringing awareness to an issue than gaining much for my own personal satisfaction. Usually, people don't have a clue what I am doing, so they fight me, or tell me what I need or whatever. But it's the same thing I've gotten in the UPC from the beginning. People need to understand that others have other perspectives and that is what I hope to bring to the table. As my signature says, a monolithic framework isn't worth much. I refuse to be disrepected. I have a different view. I don't bring a monolithic view to what is often a monolithic forum in certain subjects. So, I bring my stick of dynomite, quiety blow up the place and leave. But, hopefully I do that with respect as well, because if you use dynomite correctly you can find some wonderful things underneath the rubble.

LOL! Right - underneath the rubble! Well, it's a good discussion. I think I've learned more - here - than any place and because we can't see each other, that I have to be even more careful to interpret what someone is saying.
It's like reading a book. I'm doing the reading and so I get to choose the voice inflection. I can sound harsh or kind. That brings me to another point. A young pastor was telling me how "in your face" the Apostle Paul was. I had just finished reading the NT and felt so overwhelmed by his words "to the point", but how he expressed them with the deepest burden ans love! I told the young man, "No, he wasn't like that. Go off by yourself where it's real quiet and read it again."
Paul was very awesome!!!

Yes, that's true. I've learned a great deal online. I wouldn't trade it. But, I think we learn from interacting more than from somebody trying to be an authority on a subject and tell us what's good for us. People like that are usually just annoying.

I would totally agree with this, it's hard to read a person's tone into their written words. That's why we have the smilies, or emoticons, as they are sometimes called.
But, still, it's very easy to be misunderstood on a forum.

Re: 5 Things AFF Doesn't Know About Me!
ILG- I enjoyed your testimony- It is such a blessing to look back and see the hand of God in our lives. I have always felt that we glorify God when we look back and see what we were delivered from and how much He has blessed us. Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome. It's true. Sometimes I spend too much time lamenting what I lost.....leaving the ministry and the church and everything we worked so hard for. But then, where would I be without God?
