I believe God will honor your efforts, and all the efforts of those who try to honor God with their lifestyle.

Just be careful to keep your spirit in check, so that your good is not evil spoken of.

I too, won't be putting up a Christmas tree this year. This is probably a permanent decision for the Christmases to come, for me.

The custom of holiday food gifts goes back to the riots under Aurelius when pagans would pillage the country side. Homes with wreaths were spared...as long as they could provide, "figgie pudding", and various holiday, "treats". Do you feed your kids "pagan" cookies?

And they didn't even celebrate Christmas back then and still they were rebuked.

The Pharisees back in the bible were good holiness folks, just a little misunderstood.

Cookies burning. I will be back.

You're not a real UCON! No real UCON would say that the Pharisees were misunderstood!!

Hold on, did you read the document that you gave me looking for the truth, or attempting to justify a belief? Because what you gave me doesn't prove that Jesus was born on Dec 25th. The writer does smack the Eastern Orthodox in the chops over their differences on the dates of Easter.

True study does not mean reading a Catholic professor's article and walk away a believer. I guess he can also show you infant baptism.

What is speaks is I'm in an apt and that's the only place for my tree - no longer in a large home that has plenty of room. It also speaks that I have about 12 crosses and I don't want to take them off the wall and leave hangers or holes in my wall. Besides some are very reflective of the lights and they look pretty to see them through the tree!

Shouldn't you be working or studying or something?

I hope no one eats that disgusting fruit cake, with that hideous green candied fruit. Now that's meat offered to idols.
