Re: Is the Media Unfair to McCain?
Bottom line: The constitution is supposed to garauntee our unalienable rights from our creator who endowed them to us, those rights are LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Why is it that proponents of abortion supporters don't see or care about this? Because it is a life that makes their life inconvenienced? Those who supports anyone that is "publically" okay w/abortion might as well be the ones performing the abortion.

My question to you is plain and simple - when does the opportunity for legally sanctioned murder end, in your mind?

Bro. I answered your question but I think your just too fixated on your position to acknowledge my answer…because it’s not what you wanted to hear. So….I’ll have to TRY to clarify for you point by point.
The life and health of a woman and her unborn baby are intertwined in a way unlike any other relationship. Therefore, it is unique and has little resemblance to any other circumstance.

No, at that point the biological life and health of the two are no longer intertwined.

I don't see it as "sanctioning murder". I see it as an issue where a woman's life and/or health may be at issue. I believe that the Government is incapable of properly defining, policing, and enforcing restrictions. If my wife were on the table and there was the possibility of needing an abortion and doctors were divided or the option were to be seriously considered, I’d much rather that decision belong to me and my wife, not some Government bureaucrat who might fight to deny her an abortion and as a result possibly kill her, just to score points with the anti-abortion lobby. It’s my wife, my child, and as I see it, our responsibility and our choice. Would I support my wife’s choice of abortion? Only if her life and/or health were on the line. Therefore, though I know that the choice might be abused, I think the most equitable position is one of choice that places the responsibility to choose morally on the individual.

Chris, based on your experience, in a situation where the mother's life may be in danger, does the goverment make the choice on which life to save presently?
Or, is that choice currently left up to the husband and wife?

Bro. Eastman, if my wife is faced with a serious health issue and we are confronted with the possibility of having to choose an abortion or risk compromising her life or health, I believe God wants that decision in our hands…not the hands of politicians. My wife has a right to preserve and protect her life also…does she not? Yes or no?

Chris, this seems to come back to one major issue for you - the health of your wife.
On this point, I couldn't agree more.
But, tell me this - does the government decide on the life of your wife over your unborn child right now?

It largely depends on the state you live in. The issue is, the Government. The Government is incapable of predicting every circumstance, health issue, danger, condition, and new development that my wife might face as a pregnant woman. I don’t trust them to draw the lines. I don’t want to risk my wife having a unique health situation where the lines drawn by the Government will kill her. I’d much rather those very difficult health decisions to be ours and ours alone based on informed medical advice.
I don’t trust the Government to properly define such a complex issue leaving them the power to essentially leave my wife or your wife on the table to die or face serious complications with their health.

So, currently, in which states do the husband and wife NOT have the right to make this choice?

None that I know of right now (but most abortion regulation is on the state level). Thank God. That’s why we need to keep choice in the hands of individual women….like it is right now. That’s my point.
You’re advocating that we overturn Roe and place restrictions on abortion. That means the GOVERNMENT will start drawing lines as to when and in what circumstances our wives have the right to choose an abortion if their life and health is on the line. I don’t trust the Government to get it right….I don’t trust them making decisions for me and my wife, especially if her life and/or health is on the line.

Re: Is the Media Unfair to McCain?
Look, my position isn’t based on any advocacy in favor of abortion. My position is based on my distrust for GOVERNMENT to get it right when women’s lives are on the line.

You seem to be a bit confused my friend. Overturning Roe wouldn't outlaw abortion in any state, it would allow the states once again to regulate abortion.
