Let's pretend that DA is acting like Paul (albeit after the fact) and RM is like Peter in Galatians. What do you suppose was Peter's response to Paul when he was rebuked openly? Would he have continued to separate himself with the other Jewish Christians? Or in the case of RM, post the service, appear to condone worldly music in a church setting after publicly rebuking someone else for allowing worldly music in their church?

That's a weird answer, and buried in this statement is a troubling implication you make, which is, if he didn't have an answer, I wouldn't mind him being killed. Wow.

Excellent point??? I've said this about a million times in this thread and you just growl at me. MissB says it and it's an excellent point? What the heck?

I didn't call RM a hypocrite. In fact, I said earlier in the thread that he might not have even realized the contradiction until it was pointed out. We tend to not notice faults in people we like.

Please don't put words in my mouth (or my posts), and I don't think there is ANYTHING that RM needs to repent of. Publicly or privately. Dialogue, maybe. Repent? For what?

I think that DA is probably more like Diotrephes, but we can play Paul.

Well, I don't know what kind of pride that Peter carried, so I don't know what his initial reaction would have been to Paul. What you and I don't know is whether or not RM thought that the smaller part of the service, with the song, was enough for him to scrap the whole message on-line.

We don't know if he changed his mind and softened on his original stance after the service with GP. We don't know anything. We don't know whether or not the James Brown song didn't seem to be grouped in whatever song he was aware of that bothered him enough to preach about it. All we know about is a cropped clip on YouTube and now we are trying to set RM to rights when we do not know one single, solid fact about how he feels today.

I can't play a scenario with that.

It's that YouTube clip that is effecting judgment. LOL!

If I don't want someone to die, I don't hate them. That's the point. Hate means death to me.

I am sorry that this particular discussion doesn't suit your fancy. But you know, that's waht this is...a discussion. I personally would have liked for RM to participate in it since it was brought up.

I would like to know how one would handle this from his perspective. I'd like to know if he sees a discrepency in the two weeks. I'd like to discuss if he felt differently about the use of rock songs, and if not, what made GP's song acceptable. (or not acceptable just tolerated) How does a Pastor fix the contradiction between what he preached and what was practiced a week later?

Does he have to answer? Nope. But the discussion would have been interesting. Again, He has participated on this forum for some time and he has had no problem participating in other threads that call others out for things he disagrees with (like doctrine).
I'm sorry, but I find that odd that you are friends with him on Facebook - immediate contact, but you choose to talk about him here. That is just very strange to me. I wouldn't do that to one of my friends at Facebook. No wonder I limit my contacts there.

Nice way to avoid both the question I asked and the observation I made about your non-answer.

So do you love President Obama? It's pretty simple to answer.

And if he didn't have a family, would you want him killed?
