I went shopping Saturday with a local UPC pastor's wife here in NW Ohio. She needed some lip balm. I picked up a flavored kind and handed it to her and she about lost it! She says to me, "I never wear something with flavoring or color!!!" I about lost it at that point. I seriously had to walk away to another aisle so I could LOL!!!

I grew up in the UPC, but come on! This is EXTREME!

Someone mentioned Wayne Mitchell wearing bowties and some members following his lead, but not that he required it. I know that he did not.

As for your claim that it was a man from IL, I'd like to know who that was, having never heard of that.....and believe me, I know a lot......LOL!

Sorry Thad. One of his cousins attended my church years ago and I can tell you, that wasn't his belief for all men.

I can tell you, however, that he nor his wife talked to their kids about the facts of life. When his daughter D got married, she had no clue....LOL!
