Pray that the winds die down. That is the enemy at this point. Winds are supposed to die down on Wednesday but I do not see an end to this until Friday.

Unfortunately for us it was like that from noon till dusk. In this area we are a bowl essentially. It all gets trapped. Without the fires and when the SAs blow we get all the smog from LA. It's horrible. And today it is clear but you can still smell it outside. I am loathing going out and finding my car covered in ashes lol....
I can't remember the winds being this bad during fire season and this many fires all burning at the same time.
Santa Barbara, Ventura county, LA, Orange and SD all get heck during this time of year every year. It's sad because we are talking about some beautiful areas and also some expensive houses and not so expensive houses.
Thad mentioned Oakland..I remember that. I also remember one year a really bad fire in Santa Barbara where a lot of houses were lost.
