So.....the Prosperity Gospel DOES work! But only if the intentions are right and you are giving for the right reasons. It's all a matter of balance.

Oh it does work, especially when you are TRULY not expecting it and giving 100% selflessly. Just like I met my wife mere days after deciding to stop looking and FOR THE FIRST TIME, giving it to Him.
If I am not mistaken, giving is the ONE thing that God asks us to "test Him" on.

As for the initial post though, to say I have reservations is an EXTREME understatement. Too many "amens!" have followed to rain on any parades.

RW,

Are you saying you doubt the events, the word of the poster, the power of revelation exercised by the Holy Ghost in the prophet? What are you having reservations about?

Yes, I am saying I STRONGLY doubt the words of the preacher and his words of knowledge.

Now the story about the $1000 gifts and the resulting "rewards" it totally believable..... but I have major problems with the initial post.

Would you be kind enough to elaborate on why you doubt this?

I am sure Steadfast and Bro. Guy are much bigger men than I and would not take offense at being called a liar, but I would be highly offended by your comments.

Has your confidence in men of God been so eroded by past experience that you are comfortable accusing men in ministry of being false?

No doubt you have been disappointed by too many counterfeits.

They are out there.

But there was the real before there could ever be a counterfeit.

I have seen and experienced the works of the Holy Ghost in this manner far too many times for any skeptic to make me doubt that these things happen.

You came too late to tell me that.

I have another question now that I think about this a little more.

Are you implying that Steadfast has lied here? That he has participated in some kind of scam?

If you are, I hope you are permanently and irrevocably banned.

I don't think Randy is doubting the facts as reported by Steadfast, just whether or not the preacher/prophet in question truly had no idea of the events that had happened the people in question. People have a right to believe in things like that... some of us have a right to doubt them...

Doubt is not the same as calling someone a liar. We doubt God many times and that does not make Him a liar or mean that we have called him a liar. Doubt is a crossroads.... a fork in the road... where one chooses to go to a place called Unbelief or a place called Faith.
