I know we need to get out there!

You know what though Sister Alvear, a church is only as good as its volunteers, we have a hard time finding people who want to sacrifice their time for others.

Too busy being "separate from the world" and darn proud of it!

Actually, my sister is working full time for a crisis pregnancy center, our church is sending large amounts of money and items to some missionaries in Africa, and we support Ray Highfield in his gay and lesbian outreach program.

If we could get other churches involved in the needs of our world we would see the revival we hope for. We have got to get out there and do something...become involved.
My friend is working in a center maybe like the one you mentioned above. Girls just walk off the street and come in and they encourage them to have their babies, give them advice etc...who started this work where my friend is working?
A Baptist couple sold their home and started it because they felt God spoke to them ...and where is the God that spoke to them? It is an awesome story how many girls they have helped.

Who really knows the full story of what was happening in their marriage.

We dont know how abusive she is or could be, was she defending herself is that why she was throwing blows? Did he insult her that she slapped his face and he retaliated? Its unclear from what information we have to the extent of her participation except she was exchanging some blows.

All we have is the testimony of the bell hop, and the pictures of her bruises from him.

She might have provoked him, but now his reputation is ruined because he gave into his anger.

They both are wrong, they both know better----and should NOT have being giving marriage seminars with this going on, or writing books about marriage.

Psychical abuse whether its from a man or a woman is not right period!
