Note, I am not saying GLP was a liar and false prophet. However I am saying that if your testimony is true, and he did make statement which hinted at that conclusion, then I I believe my conclusion to be accurate based on the word of God.

Furthermore, generally men do not think that someone is God unless they have been provoked to think that, and that speculation has been fueled. Paul refused worship, Peter was quick to point out he was just a man.

If a man makes himself to be God, he is then denying his own sin, and the Bible says such person is a deceived liar, see the book of 1 John.

Re: Rev George L Pike

I guess the way the person that posted that G Pike must have done something to make people call him a God...then would read this scripture below....and say that Paul was doing something here to cause people to call him a God...Or could it be that some people just voice their opinion calling one a God - when Paul or George had nothing to do with it ....

Acts 28:1
And when they were escaped , then they knew that the island was called Melita. 2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. 3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand. 4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live . 5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. 6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen , or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while , and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds , and said that he was a god.

John 10:33 KJV
The Jews answered him, saying , For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God

Re: Rev George L Pike

No man is, was, or will be God, for God is a spirit.

I agree. But I don't know enough about Bro. Pikes teachings to speculate on what he believed.
