It is clear there are some mental issues here on both sides. Anyone with good mental health would not be able to live like this. Counseling is in order.
Even after saying that, he blasts her for things piled up in the backyard....things that obviously belong to a man!
Still, there is no excuse for a house looking that way, I don't care who you are. Instead of filming the mess, he should have been cleaning it.
I assume you are talking about things like the lawn mower?
He said that there is no longer room to store the lawn mower in the shed because they are now packed full of other stuff.
It is interesting that, should one of us brethren, make a comment that the cleaning is clearly her job then we would find ourselves under a dog pile of womanhood...
Yet it is easily stated how these other things are clearly "men things'
I do not believe that a man should assume things to be a "womans job" and never lend a hand and just rail on her when it is not done....
But... I guess I'll finally have to just come out and say it... this appears to clearly be her problem... It is now his problem because he has to live in it... but it certainly seems to be
Now... if ridicule is his way of dealing with her... then he has his own set of problems that he brings to the mix.
But he appears to have tried several times to help the situation but there is no remedy against a flood and there appears to be a constant flood of more stuff into this house and very, very little of it is his.
There are no innocents in this situation... but I don't think that he is main culprit here.
Let the attacks begin... I have to go out of town anyway.

Look again. He showed several things, like a water heater looking thing, several pallets of something like cement, pipes, and all kinds of other 'man toys'. And he seemed surprised to find the lawn mower there instead of put away.

Cleaning isn't just 'her' job, it's the job of everyone in the house.

Like I said, he needs to take out the trash more often!!

Evidently he has cleaned some stuff that she then junked up. at some point dont you think the guy would just give up?
you guys are acting like this is what happens when "the Man" doesnt help with house work.
newsflash folks, this aint about a house where the man doesnt help and the woman cant keep up.
this is about one person living with another person who is purposefully hording and there is no amount of cleaning that can be done to stay ahead of the wreck.
this woman needs to be treated for insanity or some such. If the guy was doing the junking, I have the clarity to say HE would be the one messed up.
why dont you girls have the same clarity?

Have a team come in and take all the clothes and other items still with their tags on them and put them in a "store" where she can go shopping exclusively, and buy them again.
Would save him money.

I have to agree with you Ferd.
You tend to want to give up after dealing over and over with an issue that never gets resolved.
But they both has issues that needs some help.

here is my suggestion. invite a clinical psycologist to the house and get that guy to admit her to a mental institution. and dont let her out until she is no longer a danger to this house.
