Matthew followed him to the car where pappa K opened the truck and pulled out a brand new bicycle to give to him. It was his first two wheel bike...with training wheels of course. WOW! That little boy will never forget.

Pastor Kilgore has always been like that. Those young people would almost scoop up the ground he walks on. He has won their love. Now many of them are grown, many on the mission fields, pastoring churches and are scattered in the Lord's work around the world.

Oh my! What a legacy of Christ-likeness. I see Jesus.

When I was last there for the baptism of our dear Bro. Chosen, The church there asked if anyone had a car to donate to a struggling family...I was impressed by that.

As I was leaving, Pastor Kilgore gave me a sisterly hug and said he loved me and hoped I would come back soon. He has always been so warm and gracious.

I respect men of God who know when the time has come to pull back and let others take the baton and run with it.

Gave us his own Lincoln to drive.
Increased our PIM support
Contributed a large amount of $$$ to the project monies we were raising at the time.
Gave us 5 offerings - one of them for me personally and one also for each of our children. They've never forgotten this!

More than that, later when my dad was having open heart surgery, he paid my ticket home and back.

The man is just quality through and through and it shines out and through him for all to see.

This is what I mean when I talk nostalgically about the UPCI. The years we spent in ministry were awesome. We were blessed and favoured is all I can say. And we were/are nobodies, understand? But we were treated like royalty. The fellowship was second to none.

And people wonder why I have a hard time letting go of that? It's not hard to undertand really.

He is always so patient and kind. When you walk up to him to ask a question his smile is so gentle and inviting. He genuinely loves people!

My husband has always said, "With him as an example, you know you can make it to the end."

I love Brother Kilgore!!!

Felicity love traverses time and organizations, i have been in the upc all my life and the people that love me now are the same ones that loved me then, fellowship dont know no org name sis, god bless you, dt:sshhh

So true and to a degree that I didn't realize until a recent visit home and outpouring of love proved it.

There is nothing like the family of God.

I agree with Jean Urshan and so many others that have said it, "He is more like Jesus than anyone that I know."

Just for the record the Bishop has asked that he not be called Jimbo anymore since he is a grown man now, but call him Pastor Jim.
