Personally, as an outsider that is in the UPC, I think we should all have the freedom to speak our mind and pray on things and vote on things. I think it's absurd to "silence" individuals. What are we? The Mafia? Communists?

I know of a UPC minister that referred to the organization as the Mafia once. Their point was that once you leave, you're dead or if you dissent, you're dead. Your character is assasinated. You're cut off. You don't exist.

It's like what some orthodox Jews do when their child 'converts' to Christianity... They buy a grave and a coffin and they bury that child because the child is dead to them.
