Maybe instead of sarcasm you should try reading them. You might actually learn something. BTW, why must you ridicule other peoples beliefs just because they differ from yours?

Deo Gratias

Have you read "Mother Teresa, No Greater Love?"
was a great book that a deeply enjoyed reading.

Another awesome book written by a Benedictine:
"The Gift of Years," by Joan Chittister

Re: Recommending Books

I mostly read the bible, but I have also read the following books this year:

Yoga Mala, by Pattabhi Jois (the primary source for Ashtanga Yoga)
The Bhagavad Gita, by Eknath Easwaran
Marathon: you can do it, by Jeff Galloway
Falling Upward, Richard Rohr (subject is Universal Reconciliation)
I've actually read several books on Universal Reconciliation, just can't remember the titles
Younger Next Year, Chris Crowley

Re: Recommending Books

Most all books written by Phillip Yancy, great reads for all Christians, especially those that struggle with doubt, and with the pain in the world.

Most books on history by David McCullough, if you would like a refresher course on American History, David will help you with that. "John Adams", "1776", "Truman" and "The Path Between the Seas", the history of the building of the Panama Canal is outstanding.

If you are interested in sciense, especially if you need to broaden your view of science in relation to scripture: All of Gerald Schroeder's books are a great introduction, I could hardly put the down. "Genesis and the Big Bang", The discovery of harmony between modern science and the Bible. My favorite: "The Hidden Face of God" Science reveals the ultimate truth. And "God According to God". I don't know that I agree with all of his ideas, but it opened a whole new world to me.

I have read all of the above and recommend them all. If you are interested in God's ultimate purpose in His greatest workmanship: Man! Then dig into the study of Universal Reconciliation with an open mind to hear and know God as He really is.

I'm interested in it

Ive read Brian McLaren, Dallas Willard, and Robert Webber, Richard Foster.

I can't fathom that God would purposely create a world and ultimately send 75% or more or his creation to hell for eternity. The bible says the every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. Maybe there is an age beyond this one that we don't know about, where after a time of God burning away the dross in our souls with the holy fire of his love, that we can all ultimately be reconciled to him. I fear that their premise is not true, but I hope that it is. Acts 3:21
