Yikes that is what touched off a heated debate last time we discussed this issue of smeoene not going COMPLETLY under.
If we are going to be so dogmatic to say it's got ot be done just so and so, we should think twic and ask ourselves are WE doing our baptism's just as they were performed by the Apostles?
Everything I've read by hebraic scholars and early church historians points to the fact that we don't do it as they did. they followed their traditions of the Jewish Mikveh.
Google it and read a little for yourself. It's interesting..that's all. I'm not advocating any change in our baptismal practices.
