I was at the back of the auditorium directly down the center aisle and the young guy preaching saw I had on a short sleeve shirt. That was his inspiration for a bout 15 minutes of his sermon! I finally just left the table and went outside to the concession stand where I ran into a prominent UPC preacher who grinned at me, called me by name, and said "I see you were getting preached at also!".

could this be a new low-water mark for a "buh-bye" dogpile?
ofcourse....
The jungle pictures are beautiful and strangely appropriate for the atmosphere of this thread.

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

Elder, I am sorry to read that you are leaving in this state of mind...if one feels to depart the board, fine, but to leave with feelings out of whack is not a good move, IMO.
You know, I understand your mindset...I once shared it, that being that anything not like me was error. Folks could believe in One God, go down in Jesus Name, and speak in tongues like a Chinaman, but if they didn't dress 'right', they were not Apostolic. To my shame I admit that I ridiculed, mocked, and was downright insulting, all in the name of holiness.
Please do not misunderstand...I still adhere and do so with a willing heart. Difference is my attitude and tone have changed...not my doctrine or my convictions...just my attitude.
Respectfully, this is where you ran into some heat. Your zeal came off as better than and it didn't sell.
There are good men here...Coonskinner, Bro. Strange, Elder E and more who hold to the same convictions as you, yet are not mocked, but it's because they present a heart of love in the mix.
I wish you would reconsider and stay, and I apologize if this was out of line.
